I was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 17th, 1981. After 13 years there, and a brief 2 year stay in OH, my parents retired and we all headed down to Myrtle Beach, SC. For my first two years of highschool I played varsity tennis, volleyball, and basketball During my junior year I began an internship at the local television station, WPDE NewsChannel 15. I also began doing entertainment reporting on TV 33 Best Of The Beach, a local visitors information station. Around this time I also began writing a monthly column for the entertainment magazine "Yikes!". Shortly after that, I was offered a position as the morning show news/weather anchor on WYAK 103.1 fm and Beach 99.5 fm. For a year I worked on the radio from 5 am-9am and then raced to my first class at school. During that year I also was a field reporter for a football radio show that was broadcast on WYAK 103.1 fm. I did interviews with the players and coaches down on the field, while the two main guys fed me questions through an earpiece. I didn't know anything about football (I still don't), so it was kind of fun to try to sound like I knew what I was talking about. The games usually ran from about 7pm-9pm and I was often so exhausted from doing the morning show that day that I would sleep in my car between talk breaks with my radio turned up in case they cut to me. |

A fter working both the morning show and football show for a year, I was offered a position at the local Top 40 station, WWXM Mix 97.7. They offered me a position as the weekend air personality. After a few months I started working as the drivetime traffic reporter during the week, as well. After my highschool graduation in 2000. I felt the need to expand my horizons. I got accepted into the #1 broadcasting program in the country at The University of Missouri, but I wanted to stay on the east coast, so I moved to Orlando, FL and enrolled at The University of Central Florida. I began working towards a degree in broadcasting and I started a tv production internship at Nickelodeon on a kid's show called Games and Sports. I was "caught" during a break in shooting one day by one of the producers , messing around with some of the props on the set and was asked to appear on an episode of the show, spinning a basketball during a talk break. After that, I found it hard to go back to just being an intern and after about 10 months of living in FL, I began to grow restless. I became interested in acting, so I made the decision to move to LA. After a few months, I got the oppurtunity to work on a Fox show called 24 . I played an aide to the character "Senator Palmer" (Dennis Haysbert). That enabled me to join the Screen Actors Guild. Click here to see some pictures of me from the show. |
